Get Your Church Noticed, Portsmouth @ Diocese of Portsmouth

How can you get your church noticed in a busy world where so much else seems to be competing for our attention? Join us for the chance to look at some effective methods of promoting our church’s great events and activities.

The day will include the chance to examine some principles behind good communication, as well as how to create a strategy to improve our parish’s publicity. There will be some very practical tips on areas such as creating logos; using church buildings well; improving noticeboards; finding the best way to edit parish magazines; how to promote your church via local newspapers, radio and TV stations; and how to use the power of websites and social media to get your message across.

This is a day for clergy, parish administrators, magazine editors, webmasters, social media editors – and anyone who is interested in improving the way we promote our churches. There is no charge, but please contact Neil Pugmire on neil.pugmire@portsmouth.anglican.org to book your place. Lunch will be provided.
