Clergy, parish magazine editors, webmaster, parish administrators and others interested in parish communications can spend the day looking at how they can communicate their church’s activities and events more effectively. We’ll be looking at the principles of good communications, how to put together a coherent strategy. There will also be some very practical advice on logos/identity, noticeboards, posters/leaflets, parish magazines, media liaison, websites and social media.
It is being led by Neil Pugmire, author of 100 Ways To Get Your Church Noticed and communications adviser in Portsmouth’s Church of England diocese.
It is designed for those living and worshipping on the Isle of Wight, but anyone is welcome. The session is free of charge. Do bring a packed lunch if you can. There is limited parking in the church car park, so do share cars if you are coming with others from your church.
